For the past several years I’ve been very intentional with setting new year’s resolutions/goals because it has been fun to look at my list at the end of the year to see what I accomplished. This past year was no different and it felt good to see that I accomplished more than half of what I had written down but as I was thinking about what to write on my blog for my first post of 2022 and my first post back after taking several months off, I just couldn’t get myself to come up with resolutions so I decided 2022 would be the year where I make no resolutions. My thought process behind all of this is to just focus on living in the moment and continue pursuing all the stuff I know I would have written down as a resolution.
For this blog I wanted to talk about on going goals I have for myself (and for this blog) moving forward.
The past several months were dedicated to finishing my graduate degree and I’m proud to say that I have now officially earned my masters degree. (Woooo). I’m not going to lie, I feel very accomplished and also happy that I no longer have to dedicate lots and lots of time to school ?
Moving forward, I would like to focus on a few things (especially in 2022). Keep reading to see what I will be devoting my time to in this new year.
Learning more about blogging. Although school is officially over for me, I don’t want to stop learning. I’ve realized that learning is fun when you find things that you are actually interested in learning about. For me, blogging is one of them. For the longest time, I have seen blogging as such a difficult task that I never thought I would be able to do, but now, I want to challenge myself to learn little by little how to work a website and everything else that comes with blogging.
Getting creative. Another thing that I want to dedicate myself to is my creativity. I want to try to do this in all areas of my life, whether it be in organizing my house, taking pictures, designing stuff, exercise, you name it. I think that creativity really works a part of your brain that ignites your critical thinking skills and I feel that it’s always good to be working that part of your brain.
Working on my fashion. Now, in the past I’ve mentioned to some of my friends that I want to “work on my fashion” and I kid you not when I say that a friend once asked what that meant and for me, working on my fashion means working on finding clothing that makes me feel like the best version of myself. I’ve personally seen the impact that putting a little effort can add to your everyday life. This can be in the form of picking out a nice outfit that makes you feel good, putting on a little bit of makeup, doing your hair, nails etc. (these are just a few examples). I feel that it’s about finding what makes you feel good and that’s what I want to do and note, it may not look the same for everyone but all that matters is that YOU feel good about yourself.
Healthy lifestyle. I’m so happy to be at a point in my life where I feel like I’m truly living a healthy lifestyle from what I eat to how I exercise and move my body. For this point, I just want to continue working on this and improving in this area. That’s it.
Finally, the last thing that I want to focus on is budgeting and finance. I feel that this is also another one of those areas where you truly never finish learning, so I want to try and find new ways to be smart with my money.
As you can see, I didn’t set specific goals, but rather have all this in my brain as things that I want to be constantly working on.
I’m excited to finally have more time to dedicate to my blog and I’ll be honest here when I say that I am still learning but I’m more than anything, excited to share stories, fashion, and tips here and there.
Thank you for reading. I’ll be back very soon 😉
