I feel like Converse are a pair or type of shoe that has been in style for such a long time. I had to look it up and I found that the company was founded in the early 1900’s (wow! ?). So, as time has progressed they have come out with many different styles that stem from the basic/original style.
Recently, I purchased the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Lugged High Top Shoes and I absolutely love them! I was debating on whether to purchase these in the first place because I wasn’t sure if I was going to know how to style them but, after playing with some clothes in my closet and really thinking about it, I found multiple ways and convinced myself to get them.
The shoes run true to size (I purchased my regular size 7) and have a platform sole which adds a little height, which I love (since I am 5’2” tall ?).
So, if you’re debating on whether to purchase these shoes, this is a sign to do it and add a little spice to your style.
Here are 4 ways to style hightop platform converse shoes.
Wear them with a skirt
The first way to style them is with a skirt. Now, you’ll want to take into consideration your height. If you’re short like me, then you’ll want to make sure the skirt is not too long otherwise your legs will look super short. If you’re taller, then I think you’ll be okay to go with a little bit of a longer skirt if you wish. The skirt I’m wearing in the picture is from American Eagle and right now they have so many cute options to recreate an outfit like this. HERE is a really cute option.
Pair them with a dress
Stemming from the first idea, another great way to style these shoes is with a dress. Need I say more? We are in full swing of dress season! There are so many cute options to pair with these shoes. My tip here would be to go with a dress that isn’t too long (especially if you are short like me) so that your legs don’t look awkwardly short lol ?
Wear them with shorts
The third way to style these platform converse are with shorts! In this picture I am wearing my favorite American Eagle “90’s Boyfriend Short” from last year (still in stock this year). I love to wear an outfit like this when I’m going somewhere I know I’ll have to walk a lot- so I feel the converse make my outfit look extra cute!
Wear them with Athletic Wear
Ever have those days where you want to live in athletic wear? ??♀️ Well, same! I really like how the shoes look with a pair of leggings and a nice sweater. This outfit would be geared more for the fall/winter season but, still good to keep in mind even if you purchase the shoes in the summer.
So, there you have it, a few ideas on how to wear these super cute converse shoes. What I like about converse shoes is that clearly they don’t go out of style and can be worn in different seasons multiple ways.
